SpinFish Online Magazine Fishing Finder Where to Fish Directory

CLICK HERE TO ENTER THE DIRECTORY

The one stop shop for fishing in Scotland, England, Southern Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales and it's free to access with hundreds of place where you can fish on day ticket water.

This free Fishing Finder Where to Fish Directory is provided to help you find where to book permits to fish in the best locations in Scotland and the rest of the UK and Ireland. While the SpinFish web site is focused on fly fishing for salmon, brown trout and sea trout we do not want to ignore all of the other angling opportunities that are available in our fisheries. We will list the angling opportunities in our rivers, lochs, (a few lakes), reservoirs, fisheries and ponds or the less conventional fishing in the sea lochs, estuaries, and voes of the Western Isles, Orkney and Shetland. There’s game fishing, course fishing, fishing for rainbow trout, brook trout, arctic char, pike, perch, carp, tench, chub, barbell, roach, so many species of fish most of us probably didn’t realise they were swimming around in our favourite fishing haunts. There is information about the hundreds of fisheries in England, the famous still water fisheries such as Grafham, Rutland, Chew, Keilder, Hanningfield and famous put and take waters like Avington  and Dever Springs

There is information about where to find the best fishing or buy permits on line, telephone numbers where you can book a permit. Where possible we will try to inform you about how much and where you can get day tickets but the prices do change each year and we cannot guarantee to be up to date all the time. Speak to the horses mouth to get definitive information about cost and availability. There are a number of hotels and lodges that provide river and loch fishing as part of the package.

Over the years I have been frustrated by not knowing where to get permission to fish in the places I want to fish. The net result is that I have by-passed so many places with regret and a little tear in my eye. Some places are just so attractive you just have to cast a line (off course I would never do such a thing without the proper permission).

The Where to Fish Directory will develop as time goes by, if you have any locations that you would like to share with the rest of us please message me, I will be more than happy to to put your put your information up on the net.

     To make life easy I have chosen an easy search system;

  • Choose a type of water, river loch fishery etc.

  • Choose a country.

  • Choose a species of fish.

  • Chose a county or river.

      Easy as falling in the river.
