Boyne
Drogheda and District Angling Club
Drogheda DAA have fishing for trout, salmon and sea trout on the river Boyne from Oldbidge to Navan. The Boyne is currently Catch and Release for salmon and sea trout.
In addition they have fishing on Barnattin reservoir, unfortunatley it does not come up on Google Maps so I cannot provide a location. It is a water storage reservoir and there are a couple of option Killineer and an other nearby at Google Ref 53.734778, -6.378011

River Fane
The river Fane flows from Lough Ross in Northern Ireland with the upper part flowing through Monaghan and eventually enters the sea at Blackrock in County Louth. It has some every good trout fishing with good hatches of fly.
Inniskeen Village Anglers have a 2.5 mile stretch of the upper river around the village for brown trout and salmon. Call 353 (0) 872747755

River Fane Upper Limit
Brown trout fishing is reconed to be very good on this stretch. The Fane is also classified C & R for salmon and sea trout this year.
The Association also has fishing on the Castletown River and tributaries from the estuary at Dundalk up to the border with N Ireland. Good brown trout, salmon and sea trout classified as Catch and Release.
In addition they have the River Flurry from the Castletown River estuary to the border with N Ireland. Good brown trout but closed for salmon and sea trout at present.
Membership is realy inexpensive for so much water and there are even discounts for seniors and juniors. Day tickets and family tickets available:

Dundalk Salmon Anglers Association
have fishing on the River Fane from Dundalk Bay up to Knockbridge. The best of the salmon and sea trout fishing is in the middle reaches of the river from Stephenstown Bridge to Iniskeen.
Although there are some fish in the summer the best of the fishing is back end, September and October. Sea trout enter the river May / June, best spot is at Mckennas Bridge.
There is good access for disabled anglers at Stephenstown Bridge with vehicle access, disabled parking and concrete stands.

The Rivers Dee and Glyde.
The Dee and Glyde Fishing Development Association
The Association control fishing on these two rivers which have shown a recovery and now classified as Catch and Release fishery (The Dee is closed up to May 11th but C & R thereafter). The Association has been active in working on improvemnts to these river which suffered in the 1940s by being dredged to drain the land for agriculture.
The Dee rises in Co Cavan and flows 30 miles to the sea at Annagassan. A fertile river, the Dee has good fly life including Mayflies, olives and sedges.
The Glyde is slightly longer at 35 miles. Day tickets are available from tackle shops in Dundalk and Drogheda.
There is an accessible stretch of the Dee at Ardee next to a nice bit of water with ramp access to the Riverside Walk.

Stephenstown Ponds
Run by the Stephenstown Pond project the area around the ponds has been developed into a lively social enterprise with a cafe, conference centre and secure parking, oh and fishing.

An attractive location, tree fringed with some water lily beds. There are custom built fishing stands one designed for disabled anglers.
