Dunalastair Loch


A part of the extensive Hydro Electric network in Perthshire. The loch offers boat fishing only, using flies, for brown trout. The hotel, and local shop, sell permits for the River Tummel from Kinloch Rannoch to the Tummel Bridge and for Loch Rannoch.

No bank fishing for a good reasons, the loch can rise rapidly on a daily basis according to the needs of the Hydro Electric stations releasing water fron Loch Rannoch.

Frandy Fishery


Frandy Fishery may appear to be remote but it is just 45 minutes from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Perth in Glendevon near Gleneagles. The fishing is from boat and bank for rainbows, wild brown trout and blues and ticket prices are very reasonable.

Loch Turret


5 miles of fishing administered by Crieff Angling Club offering day tickets for salmon, sea trout and brown trout. 3 beats, Strowan, Braidhaugh and Drummond Castle mostly double bank. Salmon, sea trout, brown trout and grayling.

Permits from Crieff Visitor Centre call 01764 652722 for Strowan and Drummond Castle, Braidhaugh Holiday Centre for Braidhaugh call 01764 652951.

They also have fishing for brown trout on Drummond Loch stocked annually with brownie of 12 inches, fish to 4 lb caught. There are 3 boats for hire on this shallow loch, no bank fishing. Booking at the Crieff Visitors Centre.

Loch Turret is also available for day ticket fishing. Tickets from the Crieff Visitors Centre. Open 1st April to 30th September.
