Haddo House Trout Fishery

Beautiful 5 acre fishery in the grounds of Haddo House near Methlick rated as a quality fly fishing water. Bank, boat (19' clinker built boats) and float tubes available with a limit of ten bank rods. Stocked with Brown trout, rainbow trout and blues, best rainbow 16lbs 14ozs. Loch Insch Fishery

After an extended closure during which the fishery was drained and remodelled Loch Insch is open once more.

In the first week after opening there were 143 doubles caught the biggest being 21bs.

Now stocked with rainbows and blues the fishery, with gin clear water, is alive with natural feeding for the fish and as oygenation system has been installed which will pay benefits for the health of fish in hot summers.

2, 3 and 4 fish tickets or 5hr and all day catch and release tickets available. 12 to 15 yo accompanied by and adult pay just a £5 and under 11yo fish free again with an adult.

Lochter Fishery

3 fly fishing and 2 bait ponds lochs totalling 14 acres on this well stocked fishery with fish up to 20lb. They raise their own stock in s "stream Pond" ensuring they are exercised and fit.

One sunny February day I popped in for a spot of fishing only to find 60% of the loch covered in ice. I nearly went home then I saw a fish move and decided to have a go. I got my two fish and several good takes and runs, surprising given the conditions.

The fish were so keen they were actually smashing through the thin ice to get at the few flies that were around!

A good lodge and much more on offer here for the family and angler. One pond is even cleverly shape to look like a leaping fish from the air.

Mossat Trout Fishery

2.5 acres with three ponds stocked with mainly rainbows and brown trout with some blues and brook trout, fish range from 1.5 to 15lbs. Nice little fishery where you have to stop when the osprey arrives to do a bit of fishing.

They also have fishing for wild browns on the Mossat Burn.

Buzzers, hoppers, GRHE gold heads do well.

Tullich Fishery is located on the A 93 Ballater road just 2 miles from Ballater, you will see on your right as you come from Aberdeen. . The fishery consists of 2 lochans, the largest lochan has an island.

The gin clear waters are stocked with rainbow trout. Fly and bait allowed.
