The Canals Trust have over 2,000 miles of waterway to look after for the many interest groups who use them. With so much water it is no wonder that fishing is high on the list of activities.
The Trust issues a Waterway Wanderers Permit that entitles you to go fishing on an impressive amount of water throughout England (for just £20).
Buckinghamshire Country Parks

Black Park is a mixed fishery offering seaon or day ticket fishing during park opening hours for rudd, bream, roach, tench and some carp and pike. Easy access with a hard pathway all round.
There is a cafe with toilets. Permits from the Visitor Information Point.
The other 2, Denham Country Park is let to Uxbridge Rovers, Angling Conservation Society the other, Thorney Country Park lake is managed by the British Carp Study Group. Contact them for futher information on membership.
This 50 acre site consists of a 3 lakes and a stretch of the Colnbrook river and Grand Union Canal. It has an outstanding record of quality carp and did hold the British Record for perch some years ago.
Lake 1; is 25 acres with over 1000 carp averaging 17 to 22lbs plus 35 fish over 30lbs and a biggie called "the PrettyOne" tipping in at 42lbs.
Lake 2: 6 acres with carp tomthe mid 30s, big pike, bream, roach, tench and eels.
Lake 3: Just 1 acre perfect for kids and beginners with carp averaging 3lbs, bream, tench perch and roach.
Colnbrook River and Grand Union Canal; the river has barbel to mid teens and chub to 6lbs. The canal has some big carp and a variety of other coarse fish.
Good facilities for adults and juniors including toilets, a bar and cafe and a shop.

Look no further, the club has fishing all over the county. 9 lakes / lake groups, fishing on the Ouse and Tove and on the canals.
The Lakes include:
Ashland; 4 lakes with small carp
Bradwells Lake; 23 acres with 60 pegs of which 18 have been specially adapted for disabled anglers. Big bream, tench, roach, perch, pike, crucians and rudd.
Caldecote; 90 acres with big roach, pike into the 30s, bream to doubles and big tench.
Emberton Park; fishing on 4 lakes and the river Ouse.
Furzton Lake; 70 acres, 60pegs with carp in the mid 20s, roach, bream, tench,
Wolverton Lake; 2 small lakes with carp to the mid 20s
Lodge Lake; 8 acres carp to the mid 20s, roach, bream, tench, big perch and crucians.
Wilden Lake; 150 acres, 2 lakes, bream to doubles, big tench, pike to the 30s and lots of skimmers. North Lake has carp to the mid 20s.
The Association also has fishing on a number of stretches of the river Ouse and Grand union Canal. Some exceptional barbel on the Ouse at Ravenstone Mill.

Located near Kingsfield, Oakflield is a pleasure / match mixed fishery with 3 lakes totalling 5 acres. The lakes are:
Brook, 20 years old, maturing well. 1 acre and 30 pegs, for bream, chub, tench, carp, skimmers, roach and roach / bream hybrids.
Red Kite, 3 acres with 36 pegs set up to facilitate disabled anglers with a road all round and parking at each peg and large platforms. Stocked with carp from 3 to 15lbs and F1s.
Swallow is 1 acre with 26 pegs stocked with carp 3 to 15lbs.
There are male and female loos plus facilities for disabled anglers.

Located near Chesham the fishery consists of 2 lakes, Kingfisher and Heron.
Kingfisher is a 5 acre lake with carp to 40lbs plus, with at least 20 to 30 in the 30lb plus range. There are also big pike to 20 plus and good perch.
Heron at 1.5 acres has carp to 30lbs, plus crucians, tench in the 10lb+ range, roach and perch.

Located near Medmenham a purpose built carp lake of about 305 acres plus a half mile stream stretch.
The lake has common and mirror carp with 6 over 30lbs and one of 38lbs. There are also crucians, big tench, bream and pike.
The Stream holds brown trout tench, bream, roach, pike and some carp.
There is access for disabled anglers, toilets, showers, fridges for bait and mobile phone charger points.
