Arlington Reservoir


Located near Berwick Arlington Reservoir is well stocked with rainbows. Boat or bank fishing available. You can either hire a boat and row or book an electic motor.

The season is short for some reason: bank fishing from 26th January to 29th June and boat fishing 1 April to 29th June.

Brick Farm


Located in 50 acres of attractive countryside near Herstmonceaux, Brick Farm has 3 lakes with a 4th, Spring Lake, built and ready at some point in 2019.

The 3 lakes are Well Lake, gin clear spring fed; Stag lake with clear grass banks for easy casting; Brick Lake over looked by a rather attractive timber lodge with a veranda where you can view the lake while enjoying a coffee or snack. There a toilets on site.

The lakes are stocked with rainbows (best 18lbs 6ozs) and brown trout (best 20lbs)

Chalk Farm, Fishery.


4 lakes on Shayna Rose Way just off the A27 at Arundel. A former watercress farm the fishery is set in a "dingly dell" in a wood valley. Very pretty and with typically clear water it is good fun sight fishing with a dry fly or a gold head.

Stocked with rainbows and brown trout in 2 to 5lbs range from their own fish farm the lakes also get quite a few doubles to spice up the action.

Calybeate Trout Fishery


A 2 acre stream fed lake stocked with rainbows holding stocks of wild brown trout, located on the Eridge Estate. The fish range from 2.5lbs to 8lbs.

There is a lodge on site with tea and coffee available, toilets also.

Duncton Mill Fishery


Located near Petworth the fishery has 4 lakes stocked with brown, rainbow and tiger trout from their own fish farm.

There are 2 club houses with very well appointed facilities and complimentary refreshments. There is a tackle shop on site.

Day tickets are available only during winter monthes but you can take out full, half, or quarter rod season tickets (plus a membership fee) or pay the membership fee and buy 10 fish books.

Hambrook Trout Fishery


Near Chichester, a stream fed fishery offering fishing in the 2 lakes (one lake and the steam are C and R only) and stream.

The lake holds rainbows, brown trout and brook trout from 2lbs to 15lbs, clear water stalking makes the fishing even more interesting. There are some sea trout in the stream.

Hastings Fly Fishers Club Ltd


Hasting Fly Fishers have held the lease on Powdermill Reservoir near Battle since it's completion in 1932. The lake is 56 acres and up to 35 feet deep next to the Valve Tower with 3 "arms" to explore.

The reservoir is surrounded in woodland with the exception of the dam end which limits bank fishing to areas specially cleared for ease of casting. The dam wall is the best spot.

There are 14 boats including a wheelieboat supplied with an electric outboard motor. You can bring your own electric outboard is you wish.

There is a good Mayfly hatch which bring the fish to the top in May / June.

Stocked with rainbows from 1.5 to 8lbs the club also pop is some doubles to spice up the mix. The best fish was a 17.5lb fish caught on a Mayfly, bet that was fun. Stocking is carried out weekly with high quality fish aiming to maintain a stock level of 2,000 fish at any one time.

There is an aeration system on the resevoir at the dam end which helps to keep the fish healthy in warm weather. Quite a surprise for such a big bit of water.

There are wild brown trout flourishing in the reservoir with the best being a 10 pounder.

There is a lodge where you can heat a meal in the microwave or brew a cuppa. There are toilets including facilities for disabled anglers.

You can apply to become a member or a shareholder call (01424) 439633 for futher information. Day tickets are available call (01424) 870498 to book a boat or to speak to the bailiff between 9.30 and 10.30pm. For day tickets go to the weighing room where you can pop your cash with the tickets stub into an envelop which is provided and post it in the letter box. Junior fish for free but must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult.

Lake Down Fishery


Located in the Wealdon Valley this very attractive fishery was conceived and designed by Roger Daltrey of Who fame.

Planted beautifully fishing here is a feast for the eyes and senses and the lakes, totalling 26 acres, are well stocked with rainbows and some wild brownies.

There is a very pretty cottage like lodge with full facilities male, female and disabled where you can get hot and cold beverages. The lake is also accessible to disabled anglers.

Ouse Angling Society


The Society has access to fishing on the Sussex Ouse for sea trout reconned to be the best avaerage size in England with fish to 13lbs caucght annually.

The fishing extends to 6 miles from the Anchor Inn downstream to Hamsey Cut near Lewes. The fishing is single bank with tidal water to Barcombe.
