The Crainlarich Angling Club


Have salmon and brown trout fishing on the river Fillan over 5 miles of the south bank from the Cononish Viaduct to Loch Dochart. Permits from the Crianlariach Hotel.

You can also fish selected areas of Loch Iubair for brown trout and perch.

Finnart

Dunoon and District Angling Association offer fishing on the Ruel a small Argyllshire spate river, fly only salmon, sea trout and brown trout. They also have fishing on the Massan, Finnart and Cur.

For brown trout they have Lochs Tarsan and Loskin for good wild brown trout and Dunoon Dam stocked with rainbows.

Is 9.5 miles upstream from the sea and consists of 3.25 miles of fishing in the Findhorn Gorge. There are two beats for two rods usually let by the week. The fishing is for salmon with occasional sea trout. The fishing really gets going from mid April with the best month being June and July. After May you can expect to be into a mixture of salmon and grilse. The average for the beat 112 fish.There is a track, lodge and part time ghillie.

Fishing for trout on 3 lochs and also on three beats of the small spate river Fleet. The lochs are Loch Muidhe which has wild and stocked brown trout, Loch Preas nan Sgiathanach and Loch Salachaidh. Loch Muidhe fishes best in a South or Westerly breeze with traditional highland flies and can give good dry fly fishing in the Summer. All loch fishing is fly only. The beats on the Fleet are: Polson's Pool, a large pool of about 200 yards, Junction, a stretch further up the river and Kinnauld, a stretch nearer to Pittentrail. All river fishing is fly only and North bank. Further details on beat days will be provided on joining.

Forth

Salmon, sea trout fishing on this surprisingly productive river (not surprising since it its tributaries the Teith and Allan Water are both good salmon rivers), hot spot being the weir pool just down stream from the M9 road bridge.
