Rivers (Game)

There is information out there that Fermoy and District Angling Club have access to a wheelieboat for salmon fishing on the Blackadder however contact numbers cannot be found.

The tourist office might be able to help, call; 025 82886

Stillwaters / Loughs (Game)

With so much good, affordable trout fishing in natural waters, rivers and loughs, I guess that there has been no need to have stocked trout fisheries. It is a pity because trout fisheries being generally man made can be made accessible to disabled anglers.

Coarse Fishing

There is access for coarse fishing at Town Bridge in Fermoy. From the car park, by the toilets, there is an access to a riverside concrete and ramped walkway suitable for wheelchairs. Roach, dace and some bream.

Inniscarra Dam

There is access to the fishing near the recreation area at Innisleena. There is a road along the waterside but access to the water would be inadvisable except near the sailing club. Google Map 51.906780, -8.699006

The Greenway also has a waterside road but again getting from a vehicle to the fishing would need assistance. Google Map 51.896734, -8.783777

Electricity Generating Board permit required form O'Callaghans bar and Cooneys Service Station in Coachford.
