For information on fisheries with facilities for disabled anglers in Ireland go to:
Under the management of Emy and District Anglers, Lough Emy offers some excellent brown trout fishing on this 400 acre lough with fish in the 2 to 3lbs range being caught regularly.
The lough if fertile and has a good Mayfly hatch which brings the big fish up to feed.
Google Street View Lough Emy Jetty
Fishing is fly only and day and season tickets are available contact; Gormleys Shop, North Main Street, Emyvile, call 047 87573 or mobile 087 618259. Juniors get reduced price tickets. 3 boats are available for hire (bring your own electric motor which must be disinfected at the jetty to prevent the spread of Zebra mussels).
There is a boat jetty and I see that there is a lowered safety rail on the jetty which might be used by wheelchair users as the cark park is nearby and the jetty is ramped, worth giving them a call.
Castleblaney Angling Centre
Castleblaney is located in an area with a number of first class fisheries with excellent pike fishing some with good access for disabled anglers. Goto the Fishing in Ireland Web site to get the information you needs for a great pike adventure:
See South Lodge for fishing on Lough Muckno where you can take your car to the waters edge in a layby. Accessible for disabled or mobility impared (not wheelchair access though by the look of it).
