Lough Emy

Under the management of Emy and District Anglers, Lough Emy offers some excellent brown trout fishing on this 400 acre lough with fish in the 2 to 3lbs range being caught regularly.

The lough if fertile and has a good Mayfly hatch which brings the big fish up to feed.

Fishing is fly only and day and season tickets are available contact; Gormleys Shop, North Main Street, Emyvile, call 047 87573 or mobile 087 618259. Juniors get reduced price tickets. 3 boats are available for hire (bring your own electric motor which must be disinfected at the jetty to prevent the spread of Zebra mussels).

There is a boat jetty and I see that there is a lowered safety rail on the jetty which might be used by wheelchair users as the cark park is nearby and the jetty is ramped, worth giving them a call.
