Pallas Lake Fishery

Pallas Lough is a limestone lough near Tullamore. The fishing is managed by the Midland Fisheries Group who stock the lough regularly with rainbow and brown trout. Average fish go to 1 to 2lbs but there are over wintered fish living in the rich waters that can go on to 12lbs.

The banks and bottom of the lough are soft so wading is not advised however there are fishing platforms around the lough which you are recommended to use. 3 fish limit, fly only.

Boora Discovery Park

Boora Discovery Park provide a facility not only for anglers but for a family day out with wild life, birdwathcing, cycle trails and bike hire, sculture trails, fairy trail. Call +353 579340010

There are 4 lake, 3 for coarse fish and one trout lough spread over the extensive park. The lakes are:

Boora Lakes; 12.5 acres with some deeper water near the roadside bank. There are also some fishing platforms. The lough hold some good te4nch and lots of roach. Google Map Ref 53.220220, -7.726784 Lake and Visitor Centre (on Google it shows as Lea Begg)

Lough an Dochais; a 2 acre lake jus above Boora Lake stocked with tanch andf perch. The lough has facilities for disabled anglers

Finnamore Lough consists of 2 loughs, Upper and Lower covering about 25 acres and up to 3m deep in places. Fishing from the bank or from some platforms for good tench, smallish carp, ruud and bream.

Parking near the water and vehicle access to some of the water.

Lough Cloghan; a 9 acre lough run by Cloghan Angling club who stocked regularly with rainbow trout from 0.75lbs with fish up to 2lbs caught. 3 fish limit fishing fly only from the bank and some platforms. Day tickets from Daleys Londis Shop in Cloghan.
