Coarse Fishing - Psygota Bras

Cwmycelyn Feeder Ponds

Located in Blaina the pond is managed by Cwmycelyn Angling Club. If you look on Google Satellite it looks like the pond is weeded over but it has undergone significant improvement including since then, and I have seen the pics on their web site, having weed cleared by a floating bulldozer, cool of what! New paths, landscaping, a pedestrian bridge across the middle making the site accessible.

It is a sizable pond, at least 300 metre long but but probably averaging 30 plus metres wide and up to 8ft deep. 20 generous pegs fishing for carp, skimmers, hybrids, roach, rudd, tench, chub, crucians, perch and eels.

Membership is very inexpensive with discounts for pensioners and juniors. Day tickets (and membership cards) are available from Singh Food Stores in Cwmycelyn.
