Canals Trust
The Canals Trust have over 2,000 miles of waterway to look after for the many interest groups who use them. With so much water it is no wonder that fishing is high on the list of activities.
The Trust issues a Waterway Wanderers Permit that entitles you to fish on an impressive amount of water throughout England and Wales (for just £20).

Caerwrle Angling Club have a stretch of the upper river Alyn try 01978 762331 for information.
Warringtion Anglers also have water below Rosett with dace, chub, grayling and eels while there is a new stretch upstream between Caerwrle and Hope for wild brown trout, petty stretch of water. Google the club web site for details. Membership is inexpensive.

Foresthill Trout Fishery and Farm
Located near Holywell the fishery has 4 lakes stocked with own grown rainbows and brown trout. Fly and worm are allowed they sell worms on site.
There is a lake side cafe and shop with facilities.

Tree Tops Fishery
Located in Llanfynydd the fishery has 8 lakes on the side of a hill all fed by waters from a mountain stream keeping the lakes constantly refreshed. The lakes go to 1.5acres for the largest.
The lakes have good fly life and an abundance of snails and shrimps. Good grub for trout. Stocked with rainbows from 1.5lbs to 10lbs the fishery record is 16.5lbs.
Open 8am to dusk you can have catch and keep and C & R tickets options. On reaching your limit you can fish on C & R or keep fish and pay per lb.

Wal Goch
Located near Nannerch the lakes are gin clear spring fed waters in a very natural and attractive setting. Stocked with brown trout and Rainbows 1.5 lbs to double figures.
Permit options for catch and keep or C & R. Extra fish are charged for by the pound.

Glasdir Coarse Fishery
Located in Holywell, Flintshire Glasdir has 3 lakes:
A quarter acre beginners pools; a bigger specimen pool and a 2 acre lake for group and match fishing or just general pleasure. The lakes hold stocks of carp, roach, bream, tench and golden rudd. Carp to 23lbs have been caught.
They have a shop and cafe nearby at the farm buildings. There is an areas suitable for disabled access .

Located near Mold the lake is reconned to have 1,500 wild carp, mirror, common an ghost to mid 20s, tench to double figures and big perch. There are 30 earthen pegs.

Angling Club Pysgota Clwb
Holywell and District Angling Society
Holywell Dist AA have fishing on 3 lakes in the northern tip of Flintshire all former vintage reservoirs, they are:
Llyn Helyg, at 30 acres spring fed lake, it is by far the biggest lake. Heavily silted (it dates to the 16th Century) it is just 1.2 m deep but it provides a great environment for carp to grow. Common amd Mirror carp to 30+ and a few grass carp plus tench to 5+, big rudd and crucians, roach, perch and pike to 20 plus. Only 12 pegs but there are 2 punts for use by members.
Pentre Ffynnon, a 3 acre lake with 16 pegs. Very well stocked with common and mirror carp averaging about 8lbs with many doubles and a few 20+. Also roach, rudd, crucians, skimmers and tench.
Tre Mostyn, 1 acre, 8 pegs goes to 3 m by the dam wall. Sorounded in trees and holds good stocks of bream, perch, roach, rudd, tench, barbel, ide F1s and a few carp.
