Forbes Arms Hotel, Rothiemay
Google Map Reference 57.522128, -2.757310
Perfectly located for fishing on the Deveron and Isla
The Forbes Arms in Rothiemay, dating from the 1780's, is literally a stone's throw from the river Deveron. At night as you lie in bed after a good dinner and a dram or two whith the sound of the river rushing by just lulling you to sleep, readying you for another day seeking salmon.
At breakfast I was asked just one question, how big do you want your breakfast? Dinners are prepared from good local produce cooked well, great steaks. The staff are warm and friendly, more than accustomed to the needs of anglers. All in all a great place to retire to after a hefty day fishing; Cornihaugh, Avochie, Rothiemay, Turtory, Marnoch and many more of the best middle river beatsw that, in late April and May, can offer some exceptioal trout fishing.
